Grocery weekly ads are some of the most looked forward to ads in the paper. They usually come out on Sundays with the rest of the ads that are stuffed inside your paper. In addition, you can usually get a copy of the ads simply by stopping by the grocery store that you shop at and find them stacked at the front door. Grocery weekly ads are often given for a number of different things. The coupon is the most well known to most shoppers. The coupon usually gives you a certain predetermined amount off of your purchase of a certain item. The item can be anything from produce, to meats, to canned goods or any other item the store wants to emphasize for that week.
One of the other uses of grocery weekly ads is to offer buy one get one free deals. These are very popular. Shoppers especially like these when the items are meat or fresh foods. In many cases, if the store uses the buy one get one process, they will distribute the types of items evenly between all their departments so shoppers come in and shop the entire store.
In addition, grocery weekly ads are also available for items that shoppers will buy in bulk. For instance, family packages of meat (say five or ten pounds) will be advertised at prices that are significantly less than if you purchased a smaller package. In many cases, the price per pound is ten, twenty or even thirty cents less than the non-bulk packages. It can really add up for a large family.
If a shopper really knows how to use all the grocery weekly ads, they will find that they will save significant money off of their food bill. With the price of everything else going up this is one way that you can keep control over one of your larger household expenses. Bring the coupons with you to the store, make sure you get credit for all the ones you use and if they offer double coupons, make sure you use them first.
